The Wilkes-Barre Art Festival

The Fine Arts Fiesta is one of the most popular Wilkes-Barre arts and crafts shows to come to the city. The festival is held during the month of May, running from the 20th through the 23rd. The Fine Arts Fiesta has been an ongoing tradition in the city for almost five decades now and it has become enormously popular with both residents and visitors.

You will find an artists’ market, art shows where local and national artists can showcase their work, food and souvenirs, a poster contest and even a kids’ section where the little ones can get down and dirty with art supplies!

Wilkes-Barre Art Galleries Offer Enjoyment

As you might imagine, the city of Wilkes-Barre is home to numerous art galleries. The Macdonald Art Gallery is located just outside of town, in Dallas, while Arts Youniverse is located right in the city. The JJ Ferrara Performing Arts Center is located in nearby Hazleton, while the Scranton Cultural Center, the Showcase Theatre, the Dietrich Theatre, Music Box Dinner Theatre and the FM Kirby Center for the Performing Arts are all excellent options for a day of delight.
